Bracingly radical grandmothers of the world, unite and take over

While at that Grandmothers for Peace event yesterday, I talked climate change somewhat aimlessly with a bracingly radical Occupy grandmother.

It was nice of her to be willing to speak publicly.  I support conventional political pushing for a toothed, enforceable international agreement, allocating emissions.  Finite political capital should be apportioned toward getting the US to spearhead a negotiated global settlement--and away from unilaterally reducing US carbon emissions.  She thinks quite differently from me then--that the special interest logjam cannot be expected to be overcome, that people have to bust it up in the streets, directactioning--and that will spur a global climate solution.
