The lad and I drove down to Northfield the other day and visited Goodsell Observatory, where we both had our first glimpse of Jupiter (and four of its moons: Ganymede, Callisto, Europa, and Io). Not bad for 1890 technology!

The lad and I drove down to Northfield the other day and visited Goodsell Observatory, where we both had our first glimpse of Jupiter (and four of its moons: Ganymede, Callisto, Europa, and Io). Not bad for 1890 technology!
